A Wish For A Maniac is a Swedish metalcore / hardcore band from Umeå in Västerbotten, formed in 2010.

A Wish For A Maniac is a "Breakdownoholic" Metalcore band based in Vännäs, just a little bit outside the city of Umeå. Formed in November 2010, but came together as a family in July 2011 when the vocalist Gabriel joined the band. Later on they recorded and released their debut EP with “Garageland Studios” and “Enhanced Audio Productions”.
Later on the the EP "Torments" was released 8th of April 2012. Followed up by a Sweden tour in February 2013.
During the time of existence they have been playing at events with bands like Thousand Foot Krutch, Ivoryline, Adept etc.
A Wish For A Maniac offers a wide genre of unforgiving growls and breakdowns with emotional lyrics and singing. The bands inspiration comes from every angle in music from death metal and hardcore
