Across Five Aprils (often shortened to A5A) was a metalcore / emocore band from Chattanooga in Tennessee.
The band started in September 2001 and were signed to Victory Records. its name was borrowed from the late Irene Hunt Novel based around the American Civil War.
Across Five Aprils broke up in late 2008. The band reunited in 2010 under the name, A Tragedy in Progress.
In 2012 the band again reunited, this time under the Across Five Aprils monicker.
