Amen is an American hardcore punk / alternative metal / punk rock band formed in 1994 and hailing from Los Angeles in California.
The band formed following the dissolution of frontman Casey Chaos' (real name Karim Chmielinski) former band Disorderly Conduct. Amen's debut album Slave allowed Chaos to be introduced to producer Ross Robinson, leading to Amen being secured with Roadrunner Records.
Shortly after their record signing, Chaos brought on drummer Shannon Larkin (Ugly Kid Joe), bassist John Fahnestock, and Paul Fig and Sonny Mayo (Snot) on guitar. On September 21, 1999, this first full lineup of Amen released their self-titled major-label debut.
The band has had many lineup changes, the only original and consistent member being Casey Chaos. The group did take a hiatus in 2007, only to return seven years later in 2014. News of a new studio album in the works that same year came about, with it's release
