Burn The Iris is a Dutch metalcore / groove metal band from Eindhoven in North Brabant, formed in 2007.

Burn the Iris was founded in 2007 and released their self titled EP that same year. In 2010, their second EP ‘Sovereign’ was released and was received by media as: "tight as hell, various as a roller-coaster" (Fret) and claiming they “...mercilessly pound with aggression, tempo changes and some truly epic moments” (Terrorizer). These releases led to playing shows with Devildriver (US), Severe Torture, Izah, Mourn, and Diablo Swing Orchestra (SWE) amongst others.
Now the band has reinvented itself with help of the new vocalist Jack Elbers. The band initiated the creation of aggressive, catchy grooves and became a new and more focused band; Burn the Iris 2.0. After a break from playing shows, the band wrote the new EP ‘Ionopshere’ and together with Tomsterprojectstudios they recorded this new material. Expect
