Nibiru is an experimental / post sludge metal band from Athens, Greece. Nibiru cites bands such as Isis, Mastodon, Kylesa, Yakuza, The Ocean and Burst as influences.
Nibiru started as an idea back in 2009 by Dionisi, Victor and Arsenios. Despite their efforts, until the summer of 2010 they didn't make much progress on becoming a complete band. On the other hand there were enough ideas for composing their songs that were existed. In 2011 Natalia and George completed the band.
The late summer of 2011 the recording procedures of the Promo started in a home studio facility and the production ended on December of 2011. At the beginning of 2012 their first Promo "A Dawn Without Sun" was released. On March 2012,Chris joined the band in the place of Dionisis. On March 2013 Nikos joined the band as bassist.
