НИМФ (pronoounced "NIMF" and an abbreviation for Новая истерическая маниакальная философия) was a post-doom metal / sludge metal / drone metal band from Moscow in Russia, formed in 2005.
НИМФ was originally known as Oswiecim.
"The collective was created in Moscow in August 2005 by Anton Gusev and Dmitry Potatuev as a sludge group. The first line-up also included Konstantin Shurygin (drums). The first work of the group is "Taste of the Placenta" (2005). After this work, the musicians changed their views on what the music of the NIMF should be. In 2006, the entry "Philosophy of Ugliness" appears, the style of which can be defined as post doom. It was in this style that the group continued its movement."
