September Mourning is a transmedia storyline project formed by vocalist Emily Lazar(September). In 2009 she began work on the musical side of the project, eventually releasing a full-length studio album in 2012 titled Melancholia. They recently released a song entitled 'Children of Fate' which was co-wrote by Sahaj Ticotin of alternative metal band Ra.
Their style is a combination of alternative, hard rock/metal, gothic metal, electronic, and various other forms of music. They gained a following after they toured with Marilyn Manson in 2009. They released an EP entitled 'Volume 1' in 2015 along with the first issue of the comic book series telling the story.
