Skulgrinder can best be described as traditional metal. Taking cues from Sabbath, Priest, Metallica and Maiden, they mold their talents into 21st century sonic brain-bashers while retaining the distinct qualities of the great icon metal bands. Island of Lost Souls is a loosely based concept album in which each song represents a different character in a city suffering from years of internal decay.
