Stone Axe was a proto-metal band from Houston in Texas, active between 1971 and 1972.
Stone Axe was very much an early bird in following in the footsteps of Black Sabbath incorporating their doomy metal riffage with the heavy psych of the late 60s. They managed to release only one single in 1971.
