Subvertio Deus was formed in 2005 by Malaghôd as a means of expressing musical ideas to formulate a personal philosophy of radical solipsism framed through theological concepts.
Torn (Strega Profana) later agreed to provide assistance for the creation of this 2 year work; drumming as well as recording, mixing and producing the debut album, Psalms of Perdition at his studio. Following the release of a self-titled promotional demo tape, Malaghôd was contacted by Andreas Herrlin of Satanic Propaganda Records to release this album on their label. The vast void of sounds formed through Satanic Propaganda Records includes Dissection, Watain, Hell Militia, Ofermod, Glorior Belli and Aosoth.
In 2009, Herrlin had arranged a vinyl release for Psalms of Perdition through Blut Und Eisen/W.T.C. However, this never went ahead due the vinyl mix never being completed.
