Sycamyre is a Maryland-based metal band formed in late 2012 by three long-time friends. Liam Rowley is the lead guitarist and also the main songwriter. Guitarists who have had a significant influence include Randy Rhoads and Dimebag Darrell, among many others. Liam has been playing guitar since 2005. Drummer Jason Brooks is self-taught and has influences from AC/DC as well as Neil Peart and Brann Dailor. Ben Belote, lead singer and rhythm guitarist, brings a lot of the thrash metal influence to the band, both rhythmically and vocally. Sycamyre plays mostly around the Maryland/Pennsylvania/Delaware area and released their first album in September 2015.
