It got a few less than enthusiastic reviews but I think it's excellent.

There are a lot of releases in this thread I need to check out! Been sticking to a comfort zone for some time, time to break out of that!

The new At The Gates album is good but it's not blowing me away yet. Hopefully it's a grower.

^I thought it was a pretty good album, It's been a while since I've heard the last one so I don't how I'd compare them.

I´m listening my way through Sinister´s discography at the moment, at there are a couple of really great death metal albums among their many releases.
The first three are really good, but my favorites are probably Aggressive Measures, Afterburner, and The Silent Howling.
Check them out, if you don´t know them already:

It's growing on me though I think I prefer the last one at the moment. The production is a bit muddy to my ears and lacks the punch of At War With Reality.

Yes, I like them but there's plenty of their albums I've not heard. I've got loads of death metal albums but never actually bought any of theirs for some reason.

Excellent band. I personally prefer their earlier albums to the ones you mention (Diabolical Summoning in particular), but they're definitely not a band you can go wrong with. I've finally taken the plunge and started discovering pre-Virus Hypocrisy albums. So far I'm very fond of Abducted and Into the Abyss, and much more excited about them than I am about albums such as A Taste of Extreme Divinity or End of Disclosure.

Listened to most of the new MaYan album yesterday. Did not get a chance to finish it but seems about as epic as expected so far. I haven't had too many new albums lately that have screamed at me that I need to buy them ASAP, but this one does.
