I started watching this quite some time back, and never finished it.

I managed to get through it, but I didn't keep this one even though Carpenter is one my top directors. One of his few films I couldn't see any reason to watch a second time.

I suspected going into this that it was either going to be quirky brilliance or about as interesting as watching paint dry. Unfortunately it was much more of the latter than the former.

The acting was pretty bad and the CGI outdated, but it was still a good movie:

Very much so. I saw it as a kid. Also an excellent book, which I like better than the first volume.

Spike Lee's latest. Not as good as Blackkklansman, but very decent. This was a gem and I'm very eager to see the sequel. Essentially a serial killer movie, but with hints of a background supernatural element that may be more prevalent in the next part. The vibe reminds me a lot of the French series Black Spot, which I also loved.

I only saw Total Recall for the first time not that long ago. And I loved it. Dated? Yes, but for me that only adds to its charm. I have no interest in the remake. An 18 rated movie remade as a 12? The Mars setting changed? Screw that.

Not quite as good as part 1 but a very good sequel to The Invisible Guardian. The hinted supernatural element of the first film didn't really manifest though, but there's something damn weird going on in these. I'm looking forward to the finale film that drops on Netflix next week.
