Just got this album yesterday…album of the year so far! Yes, it's that good. (ok, so I only have the Blind Guardian and this one so far… )
They knocked it out of the park with Secret Garden, and Fabio sounds fantastic with them. I was never a fan of him with Rhapsody, but he is a great fit here. Doro Pesch sings one song, and Simone Simons also sings one song, and there is a cover of the Police song Synchronicity II in which Fabio sounds fairly like Sting, believe it or not. I've always thought that Angra was a band that was less than it's parts. They have fantastic musicians in the band, but much of the music, and most of the lyrics would leave me with a 'meh' feeling. Some good moments among their past catalogue to be sure, but not enough of them, imo. Secret Gardens is far and away their best album, for my tastes. It's going to spend a lot of time in my cd player. YMMV

A great album, the best I've heard from them also. Generally with power metal I prefer the heavier USA style - Angra seem to have more in common with the european style but their prog elements raise them above most of that IMO.

I liked it, but I prefer the older phase them. The singer Fabio Lione is very good and safe, I saw a presentation with his band in a Brazilian program on Youtube, acoustically - sensational! To me, a Brazilian, is a national pride.
