Vote for your favorite, and feel free to list your favorite/s if not in the poll.

UFO again. Probably their most varied record.
Then an album I love: No Mean City by Nazareth and a surprise: Heat in the Street by Pat Travers (not on the list). All the records mentioned on the list are great btw. Edited by Atreju - 21 Apr 2016 at 12:27am |

Stained Class on that list, closely followed by Killing Machine.
A very recent discovery for me (last week!) is Rose Tattoo's self titled debut. 1978 was also the year of the four solo Kiss albums, of which Ace's was by far the best. Great marketing ploy, just piss poor execution. Also: AC/DC "If You Want Blood, You Got It" (live album) The Ramones - Road To Ruin Dire Straits - Dire Straits ABBA - Voulez Vous (my other half's CDs show up on my media player list ) |

One thing I will say about these polls, they are showing me how little I have listened to from the 70s. Some of these bands are big names and I'm totally clueless about them. While it's not my highest priority, the historian in me wants to check a lot of this stuff out.

And The Misfits also recorded Static Age, which took another 18 years to get released.

Went with Stained Class, although I also love Dog & Butterfly, Powerage, Long Live Rock'n'Roll, Hemispheres, and Van Halen.
I know I have been missing some classic rock/punk albums in these polls, but I wanted to keep it hard rock and metal.

No, I know. It's cool with me. I'm just enjoying adding a few myself. A lot of people here are more prog and/or hard rock oriented than I am. This isn't a punk site, but I do like a bit of it. |

I´ve voted Van Halen. I´m not a huge fan, but that debut album is quite spectatular.

As usual I know bugger all from this year, but voted for Stained Class. It was quite a tough call between that and Killing Machine though. The Rainbow album is good but I find it a bit lacking after the epic Rising.

Rush again but the first 5 on the list are all great - Van Halen, Priest, UFO, Rainbow. Also AC/DC and Styx.
