There's quite a few of us on here who have album art as our avatars. If you're one of those people, is there a reason why you chose that album?

I chose mine because it has a tank in it and it goes with my username. The only Panzerchrist album that I've listened to in entirety is Room Service (and loved it), but Battalion Beast looks more awesome.

Both Room Service and Battalion Beast are great death metal albums, but Soul Collector is their best album if you ask me:
If you purchase this one:
Youll get both Soul Collector and Room Service for the prize of one.
...oh and back to the subject of this thread ( sorry I got carried away) Mine is:
"Freakery" by US grindcore act Cretin. Its not a favorite album or anything like that ( its a good Repulsion influenced grindcore album though). I just like the badass cover artwork a lot . And theres a slight blue tone to it, which is something I have in all my avatars on various sites Im involved with ( its the colour of the shirts of the soccer team I follow). Oh and Im fascinated by the bizarre story that the lead vocalist on this album used to be a man and is now officially a lady. I dont judge I just find it intriguing.

Cool topic.
I chose Crimson mainly because it's one of my favorite metal albums ever. I've also always loved the artwork, so it seemed destined to be my avatar for MMA. |

My avatar is just a homage to Opeth, and I will probably keep changing it to different bands such as Pain of Salvation or DT.

If only Ivan from PA was here... Though he hardly needs to explain why he chose Peter Gabriel

Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

Disco Volante isn't my favorite album (in my top 20, though...not exactly sure where), but I do very much so enjoy the feel and the art Mr. Bungle provides with it. Used to be Focus, but I don't think it's really a good avatar.

Mines a split between Corrupted & Meat Slave. I'm smitten, beyond belief, with Corrupted. No idea who, what, where Meat slave are, and frankly do not wish know and/or find out since the album itself is shit. I find the cover aesthetically *ahem* pleasing... for personal reasons... I'll leave it at that

Since this post, I've listened to the rest of the Panzerchrist albums, and as it turns out, Battalion Beast is my favorite of the bunch, giving me another reason to pick this album as my avatar.

I don't really think mine counts. But a lot of my favorite albums work together really well so there!

Now that I've decided to mix it up!
The Mantle is just an amazing album. More than "omg really awesome" but one that really had an impact on me. |

Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer and Testament. The real Big Four of thrash metal!
Listen to doom metal, worship Satan |
