Inspired from the thread about bands with no lineup change, lets talk about the opposite: bands with zero original members.

Examples include Finntroll, whose longest running members were in the band since 1998, though the band formed in 1997; and Napalm Death, whose longest running member is bass player Shane Embury who appeared as early as From Enslavement to Obliteration.

Anyone know any others?

Judas Priest - The closest to original members were bassist Ian Hill and guitarist KK Downing (who left last year), but the band was already formed before either joined.

Opeth - IIRC Mikael joined as bassist after the group had formed.

Off the top of my head...

Sepultura?
I believe only the bassist is left now, but he wasn't there from the start...so no original members.

Holy crap I forgot Akerfeldt wasn't actually there from day one
Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer and Testament. The real Big Four of thrash metal!

Stratovarious.

I'm sure there's another I know and listen to, but their name escapes me right now.

The bassist of Sepultura is there since the beginning. He is the only original member.

I think...Deep Purple. Not sure on that one though.

Lynyrd Skynyrd are down to 1.5
Annihiltor, Jethro Tull and Cradle Of Filth are all down to 1.

I believe Mayhem doesn't have any original members, but not quite sure about that.

The bass player Necorbutcher was one of the founding members.  He's still in the band.

Jon Lord is not in DP anymore, so Paice is the only one to be on all their albums.
