The Gathering album you mention is from 1998 (forgot about it then) Depending on the time I have, I'll create a 90s poll with albums dear to me I forgot about plus some other worthy mentions. Then I'll conclude with a final '90s poll with the albums that got most of your votes (as I did with the '80s). |

Dream Theater's finest hour but Opeth's Still Life is just as good but I'll go with DT.
Also on the list that I rate highly - Porcupine Tree, Glenn Hughes (though he's done better) and Testament. Not on the list - The Gathering - How To Measure a Planet Masters Of Reality - Welcome to the Western Lodge |

Testament - The Gathering for me.
Nevermore, Lefay and Control Denied would also make the top 5.

Opeth.
One not listed that I really like and may even have voted for instead is Grave Digger - Excalibur.

Dreaming Neon Black is not my favorite Nevermore album, but it´s still really great and although Still Life is probably a bit stronger overall, I still think Nevermore deserves a vote, so they get mine.

Only know about three of those, but I'm guessing Still Life would have got my vote even if the selection had been bigger!
