Don't know anything from 1972 either. I guess I have some exploring to do. I know my Dad has a couple of these albums.

Wishbone Ash - Argus but it was a close call between that and Sabbath. Also rated highly - Deep Purple, Budgie (thought they were to do much better albums) and Uriah Heep (especially D & W).
Not on the list... a lot of my favourite albums that year were prog with amazing albums from Yes, Genesis, Man, Jethro Tull, Osanna, Le Orme and PFM to name a few but sticking with the heavier stuff... Deep Purple - Made In Japan Trapeze - You Are The Music.... Groundhogs - Hogwash it was also the year of David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust. enough said. |
