I voted for black metal. I recall being indecisive on the previous poll and I'm not sure if I did ever vote or not, but I do tend to look up more new black metal albums than any other genre.

I probably buy more death metal than any other sub at the moment but my favourite overall is probably prog or trad.

I decided to throw a real curve ball this time, and voted for....... Power Metal! Big surprise there, I know!

This is quite tough but I think I have to go with black metal. I do go through phases of primarily listening to other genres but I seem to always come back to black metal.

If forced to choose, it's Thrash. Stoner and Trad closely follow though.

Still difficult as I go through cycles, be it thrash, AG, prog, sludge, black, trad or hard rock.
In terms of what I play most at the moment, my favourite (and at times least favourite) would be metalcore in all its styles, especially the thrashier, brutal or more off the wall stuff (mainly mathcore). Really does contain some of my all time favourite albums.

Black metal has gradually overtaken power metal as my favourite over the last few months.

Hey hey hey, thanks to our new friend Alex for reminding me the last one of these existed. I thought it might be fun to do it again, seeing as we have more subgenres and a little bit of new blood around here.
For me, I'd say doom. Most of my favorite artists reside outside of the metalsphere but doom is the genre that houses most of my favorites. What about you guys?
