I think symphonic death metal should be added. The site has symphonic black metal. The principle isn't really all that different between the two. |

Was hard not to give Suffocation the vote but went with Abnormaility in the end.

Their debut could probably be put in either sub-genre and be fine but I do think the next two showed off different sides to them. And King was obviously quite toned down and simplied in comparision. Of course their actual main genre is symphonic death metal but we don't have that here yet unfortunately.

Fleshgod also, though I'm a little confused over why that one album is tagged as brutal and the rest as tech (except King).

Fleshgod Apocalypse. Never understood the love for Suffocation in this genre.

I don't mind brutal when it's crossed with technical but brutal on its own not so much. Only heard a few of these myself. I'll have a better option pool when I post the tech death poll in a couple of days time.
For obvious reason Death 'n' Roll will be skipped in these polls. Not enough content in the sub-genre. |

Abnormality for me as well, although it could have been any of the Suffocation or Dying Fetus albums as well.

Heard two and went with Fleshgod Apocalypse. This isn't a genre I get on with too much.

Today we move away from black metal and into the death metal polls. First up is Brutal. Dying Fetus are ruling this chart right now.
My vote is going to Abnormality. |
