If it wasn't for Hardwired... they'd be neck and neck but as it is, Metallica.

Well Metallica for me too... Ozzy is still great, though!

Definitely modern Metallica. They've held up, and unfortunately I don't think Ozzy has as much.

Metallica doesn't do much for me anymore but i'll give Hardwired a listen again one of htese days. Ozzy's newer stuff is actually quite interesting although it's nothing like his classic stuff. I wrote him off for years but when i finally checked out his later albums i was quite taken by them

I really can't be bothered with either these days. There's so much better, newer music to try instead.

I like the modern material from both bands, but I think Metallica has the edge just for Hardwired. That was their best album in a long time.

I most definitely like both, but it cannot be argued that they have both changed over the years. Metallica are still as thrash-y as ever, but I can't say that they are so classic anymore. Ozzy has released some alternative stuff such as "I Don't Wanna Stop." Very different indeed but still no doubt Metallica and no doubt Ozzy.
