Blow Up Your Video is a favorite of mine as well, in my humble opinion, only the classic Back in Black is superior (for the lack of a better word). Powerage is my personal favorite these days.

The international release of High Voltage has always remained an endearing favourite and since most of the tracks on TNT are on that album, it gets my vote then.

A story told that can't be real somehow must reflect the truth we feel.

Perhaps.
Also, I get a similar feeling with the latest Slayer - ‘Repentless’. Tom’s vocals are becoming borderline shredding to my ears. I love his vocals around Hell Awaits. His voice changed after that. I know Bon’s voice is rather unique but I don’t like it. It’s like an annoying Parakeet bird, both shrill and grating. And I worship Peter Hammill.............yes, I’m more Progger than Metalhead.......... |

That's a very honest, and unusual, point of view Tom.

First vote for ‘not a fan’ !!
My sister is (was) - she still has several of their LP’s, mainly from the Bon years and I’ve tried them out (Powerage, Dirty Deeds, TNT and Back In Black). Whilst I pick some clever rifffage here and there, the vocals are like nails down a chalkboard. |

Not a huge fan of AC/DC, and haven't really ever been. I think that, after Dirty Deeds (which I think is their best), the whole sound they had got a bit stale as they plodded over beaten ground over and over again. Just my opinion.

For the same reasons as Vim, I could have gone for Fly on the Wall, but instead decided on Back in Black. Probably could have gone with any of the Bon Scott albums as well.

Adam, you should really check out the Bon Scott era and find out what all the hype about AC/DC was about. Everyone should hear Highway To Hell just to get a sense of what a great hard rock band they were at this stage. I've never really liked Brian Johnson as a singer but some of the songs are catchy so i do have a few newer albums.

It's hard to choose however i LOVE the Bon Scott era and only lukewarm like the Brian Johnson era.
I'm gonna pick Dirty Deeds because it was my first and it's still one i love a lot, however Highway To Hell, Let There Be Rock, High Voltage are all up there too :)

The early years up to For Those About To Rock... were brilliant. Highway To Hell gets my vote though.

I wouldn't call myself a major fan but I do have a copy of Stiff Upper Lip, which is the only album I've heard in full by them.

I know it's considered an odd choice, but there are other memories and associations which go with it besides the music. That also applies to Dirty Deeds, TNT, and The Razors Edge, but it still wins out for me. |

This is tough as I am a huge fan. I’ve gone for Powerage, but I could have chosen several others. For me an album that often gets overlooked but I really like is Fly On The Wall.

Well you sure surprised me, I've never heard anyone else say Blow Up Your Video is their favorite.
For me it will always be Let There Be Rock, it's the first album I think of when I think of hard rock. It's raw, dirty, and pure rock and roll fury.

And my favourite is Blow Up Your Video. It came out just as I was first getting into metal, and is about as close as AC/DC came to a full on metal album. It seems to get forgotten about a lot, possibly because of the era when it came out being dominated by hair metal, and the underground dominated by thrash, leaving AC/DC somewhere in the middle.

Inspired by another forum, this poll seems rather timely. You lot often surprise me with your opinions here, so let's see if it happens again! Even if you're not a fan, let us know why. I don't know many rock/metal fans who aren't AC/DC fans, but there may be a few.
