Kylesa seems a good band to look into for both stoner and sludge then.

^Oh yeah, as noted by my old review I really liked it too. Haven't listened to it since then though, been meaning to listen to it again to see how it holds up.

I was quite fond of this one but it isn't a release I've been back to in a while.

badabingbadaboom:
http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/floor/oblation (sludge/stoner) That's just a handful of albums I really like, and there's also Mystic Sons who aren't on here yet, I'll fix that tomorrow.

That's the impression I've got off of top 25's for genre's I know better. Certain acts just attract the masses I guess. Perhaps you could post some examples of 2010s stoner not included here. There's no reason why these polls can't be a debate as well.

Kylesa as well. I'm very into them overall, both their earlier sludgier work and later more stoner based work. King Gizzard a close second but I do consider that thrash with stoner vibes rather than an actual stoner metal album. I also have never understood why that Mastodon album gained traction over there as being stoner metal. Heard a few others here but nothing that really left too much of a lasting impression.

Kylesa, though this list shows me how boring RYM is when it comes to stoner metal. There's quite a bit of good stuff from this decade, but this is a real poor representation of it.

Poll 10, for stoner. Stoner metal that is. I believe the only release I have ever rated here is Mastodon, which I do not think of as stoner metal.
