From where I am at, I'm glad to see quite a few Canadian bands and Japan's Ningen Isu and Lovebites up there twice. Plus I actually have about 20 of the albums on the list, so I'm happy! I shared this on Twitter. I hope the link works!
A story told that can't be real somehow must reflect the truth we feel.

I took a while to warm to it myself, unlike say Number of the Beast or Brave New World, which nail it right from the get-go. Now I have though, it's well up there in the Maiden pantheon. And the songs from it come across really well live too. The lessened initial impact might have something to do with the length. I'll still say it's probably a couple of songs too long.

I'm pretty sure it only ranked that high because it got a couple first place votes (including from me, if I remember right.) I voted it 6th, this time, so it still got a lot of points from that, but not as much as if it had been first, obviously. I still personally voted it ahead of any other 2016 album, though.

Dream Theater's The Astonishing looks like another one that has gone down in people's estimations - voted no 3 in 2016 and 108 here.

Fates Warning.

Theories of Flight won in 2016's vote.

How many points did it get in this vote?

Big fat 0.

What happened? You all go off it already?

Progarchives collabs have a smaller presence here now

Most of the voters for FW in 2016 also took part in this.

Very nice presentation.

Personally I'd have liked to see a bit less band repetition, but I can't say I'm disappointed by some of the acts who got in here more than once.

That's a great album which I'd have certainly voted for in the 2016 poll I'm sure. It must have slipped my mind on the 2010's poll as it's an album that would beat at least some of the lower entries in my list. Can we do it again? Wink

A slight fix to the presentation: one album that was additionally tied for #97 was accidentally left off.

I haven’t had the chance to consider this and an away for a week now (only squirrelled away in a lodge with the missus) but there are lots of great albums out there which perhaps aren’t fro the most popular genres in MMA. I too was surprised to see Metallica and Megadeth no low. Lots of really strong hardcore based releases didn’t get a look in, including as Khaliq says, some really strong sludge. Some brilliant albums here though.

25. Several I heard and never want to hear again.Wink My taste doesn't really align with many others on this site, but that's part of the reason I like it here. I get exposed to stuff I wouldn't otherwise consider.

I had 46/103. I have quite a few of those other albums, but never got around to hearing them.

Also, great job as always, Adam!

I listen to a bit sometimes though more older stuff like Soundgarden, Alice In Chains and Faith No More.
