There's been a few great albums released this year including ones from Tribulation, The Dead Daisies, Cryptosis, Accept, Cannibal Corpse, Helloween and Artillery, plus a few more, but overall 2021 is on course to be the weakest year for some time IMO, unless the second half throws up some gems.

Doesn't seem too likely, but I'm hoping for the new Symphony X and/or Michael Romeo (solo) album(s). It would be cool if at least one of them comes out.

I don´t know...I used to be a big fan, but I´ve lost interest in Cannibal Corpse over the years. To my ears it´s still the first four which are the greatest. I´m not a huge fan of Corpsegrinder as a vocalist.

Second album from UK death/sludge outfit Conjurer due out at some point this year on Nuclear Blast after being snapped up in the aftermath of the sordid demise of Holy Roar. I have scoured the internet but cannot find a potential release date.
Definitely a band with a huge amount of potential based on their first album and preceeding EP. Superb live and one of those great and rare occasions when an unheard of support band blows the headliner to pieces. http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/artist/conjurer/?ac=Conjurer |

There will be a new At The Gates album sometime this year. When exactly I'm not sure yet as they seem to still be at the mixing stage.

Yes, just heard it earlier. If the rest of the albums as good as this it'll be awesome.

Stu Block just quit, so..... Arjen Lucassen announced on his Facebook that he's working on a third Star One album, possibly releasing this year, though he doesn't want to rush it. I found Transitus lacking in memorable metal sections, or just memorable songs in general, so this has me excited, and is exactly what I wanted from him, right now. Apparently, he says it'll be a mix between the heaviness of Victims of the Modern Age, and the catchiness of Space Metal (though I found Victims pretty damn catchy, tbh, so I'm confused there), but with one big change: There will be only one vocalist per track. For Ayreon, that would be disappointing, but I think it can work fine for Star One. Definitely my most anticipated album, aside from maybe the new Epica.

Well, you know how some of those successful bands are. They announce that they are working on a new album and then take their sweet time because they have complete freedom to do what they want. I'm not holding my breath but classic bands like Judas Priest are certainly mandatory buys.

The ones I've left in your list above are all definite buys for me. Already have the Asphyx album which is very good though not their best. I didn't know Judas Priest were working on a new one but always an essential buy for me.

Don't think there'll be good odds on this one.
