Difficult to cateogorise you guys. Certainly a retro sound - Rock, a bit of psych. Some of the riffs have a bit of a doom feel though not heavy enough to fully fit. Of our subs heavy psych or stoner rock is probably the nearest.

Good luck with the album.

Stagnation is the second studio album by Burning Cities.
It is a step toward heavier sounds and darker lyrics without forgetting psychedelic and art-rock influences heard on earlier releases. Thematically Stagnation is a journey into the darker depths of the human condition. It is not a happy album. Rather, it is an exploration and a reflection into the inner demons that we all have in one form or another. As well as stories of bleak existence in everyday life where days pass by unchanged and unnoticed.

Burning Cities comes from Hämeenlinna, Finland, and has been active since 2012. The band draws heavily from traditional band playing and old school record making methods combining these with some of the modern ways of making music. Most of the songwriting and arranging is influenced by heavy and hard rock of the 70s and early 80s. Every band member also bring their own flavors to the mix, were it a hint of alternative rock from the early 90s, bits of psychedelic rock from the 60s or a touch of art-rock from the 70s.

All feedback is much appreciated. Especially if you can tell what sub-genre we fall into. A question often asked from us but we don´t know the answer.
