I really should get back to these. I have drafts (intros only) for Evoken's Quietus, Esoteric's The Maniacal Vale, Ahab's The Call of the Wretched Sea, and Catacombs' In the Depths of R'lyeh sitting in my draft list for months now.

Here's a funeral doom band for ya, Wily. WOTH are probably the most unique funeral doom band out there, IMO. Grimy and dripping with raw sewage.

I'm aware of them. I've belted out reviews for their major releases already. Before I moved into the later releases of the genre, I made sure to review some of the classics from Funeral, Skepticism, and Esoteric.

Wilytank, you should check out Mournful Congregation's new album, The Book of Kings. The title-track is great.

Well, I never did get that review in. Maybe this week.
The Maniacal Vale is a huge favorite of mine as well. Haven't heard anything by Mournful Congregation other than The Monad of Creation. Is their subsequent material any better? I thought Monad... was a 90% album.

My favorite funeral doom albums are "The Book of Kings" by Mournful Congregation and "The Maniacal Vale" by Esoteric.

Ahab's The Call of the Wretched Sea Ataraxie's Slow Transcending Agony Esoteric's Subconscious Dissolution Into the Continuum and The Maniacal Vale Evoken's Embrace the Emptiness My goal is to at least get Subconscious Dissolution... reviewed by the end of this week.

That may be a while. Just sayin. Thankfully, Worship's Dooom is on Grooveshark so I can get to that one sooner.

I now have a journal of sorts for funeral doom releases that I've listened to or plan on listening to.

Right now, checking out some Ea. I've been told their first album is their best, but since it's not on Grooveshark, I have to settle for their third.
Not reviewing until I check their other stuff first.

You should check out Worship at some stage, specifically their album Last Tape Before Doomsday.
