Bump, I was just thinking about this recently.
One that comes to mind for me (Other than the Slayer at the beginning of the thread), is Judas Priest: |

If I say fuck two more times that's forty-six fucks in this fucked up rhyme

I would update this one now to remove A Perfect Forever and add the self-titled. |

Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

Basically you could put every Pain of Salvation album in any order you wanted and still get an Unholy Trinity [/fanyboyism]

For my personal Fates Warning trinity, I think I'd bump Perfect Symmetry for A Plesant Shade of Grey. Not a popular decision, but that's my favorite FW album.
No offense to Perfect Symmetry intended. It's an excellent album, and it's where the band first found their Alder-era sound. No Exit I group closer to the Arch era musically, and I think Alder found his voice with the band on Parallels. IMO that's where his voice reached its comfort level in that he didn't feel he had to hit a ton of high notes to sound good.

Hope that one didn't take you too long to come up with. As for me, I'll bring out my BTBAM fanitude. |

i thought this was about concert gigs, and that Unholy Alliance was a festival name, for metal bands, like Download and Wacken
