This is insanely difficult. I gotta go with Ocean Machine: Biomech, but I love everything the guy's done apart from Devlab and Hummer.

I suppose mine would be Terria, followed very closely by Ziltoid, and after that Deconstruction.

......is there a reason "Ki" is not listed here? That album is pure bliss, was from the first listen and I love it more now. From these: Ziltoid is my favorite, but man...Terria, Ocean Machine, Ghost, Synchestra Devy is just the man Edited by The Angry Scotsman - 16 Jul 2011 at 2:03am |

Devin Townsend being my favorite band/solo project it's hard for me to choose. But I would have to probably give it to Ziltoid with Deconstruction and Terria following a very close second.

I went for Ocean Machine(Biomech). Devin's one of my favorite artists, and Biomech was the first release I heard from him solo, also the song "life" is where I got my user name.

Im much more of a SYL fan. I first learned about Devin when he collaborated with Steve Vai and when the first SYL album came out I gave it some spins but it never did much for me. Much later I gave City and S.Y.L. a chance and bam I was sold. I was a major fan by the time Alien was released and I still think SYL are one of the most original sounding extreme metal acts out there.
Devins "solo" work has been much harder for me to get into. Im trying hard though

I generally think of his DTP albums as a separate entity whatever. (where is Ki and Infinity btw, those are important albums for Devy!)
I think I'll vote Addicted. I haven't listened to Biomech and I don't have Terria |

Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

I haven't heard all of his album, but I tend to lean towards his lighter solo albums, and stick with SYL when I want Hevy Devy.

All I have is Deconstruction, and it sure is weird. I'll probably get Ziltoid sooner or later but since I've only heard one album I definitely won't vote.

I haven't heard all of his albums so I'll abstain from voting, but my favorite (that I've heard) is probably Ziltoid.

Maybe you would wait to write Deconstruction (because of the song Stand and not only). But Ziltoid is the one. So, I voted Ziltoid. Honestly, this album is very serious. Even if it has some ridiculousness.
