Actually, if I remember correctly, this Slovak band has some progressive tendencies: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/signum-regis.aspx
It's first and foremost European-sounding power metal, though. |

As much as I'd love to help, this metal scene isn't one I'm too familiar with - I've really only heard a handful of Czech and Slovak metal bands. I can't think of any progressive ones I'm familiar with either.
..and I'm supposed to be a progressive metal expert! Looks like I've got some homework to do! |

I'm curious about my country's Metal music that would be "enough" to qualify for inclusion on ProgArchives. I already suggested and was successful with bringing on PA two of them - Master's Hammer and Asmodeus. Yesterday, I was listening Slovakian Endless Main and I have to say that it's great music. Even more, I wasn't aware that there are that good albums on SK scene (Metal is not that abundant in our southern neighbor). There are some albums rated, but not that many, as this chart contains 28 Czech and 1 Slovak albums rated. From the look at this database, I would say that there is 1-2 dozens Slovak artists and as much as over hundred of Czech ones. I am from Czech Republic, which means I can understand fluently Slovak as well (this skill comes with birth ), but my knowledge about CZ/SK metal culture is very limited. However, I have unique access to material (information, borrowing shops...) so that's my advantage. So, what artists can we bring from here to PA, which ones would be good ones ? |
