The only WInger album that I have heard was the first one and I really liked it, way back when. I agree with you, WInger got a lot of riducle back in the day when bands like Warrent, Posion, Slaughter and so many other silly hair metal bands seemed to do well.

I've seen Poison ridiculed a lot more than Winger(I participate in part of it). There ratings here on MMA aren't shabby, but there hasn't been many reviews. |

not this Poison and you're just proving my point, why this band get ridiculed without any logical point of view.

The only Winger song I know is "Seventeen" (didn't find it too interesting), but I'm a fan of their drummer. Didn't Kip and some one else in that band play with Alice Cooper?

Winger has always been the band to be laughed at, often ridiculed as one of the worst bands.
Really? I for one like them; I've heard bands much worse than them. I mean a band like Poison gets more respect than Winger which is wrong IMO. The band has a good vocalist, an awesome guitarist (Reb Beach) and last but not least Rod Morgenstein, previously of Dixie Dregs, on drums. Ironically, Winger did one of their best albums in 1993 (Pull), when grunge was king. their fourth album in 2006 after a long break was surprisingly good as is their last album called Karma in 2009. Any thoughts? I know I lost all my cool points, but feel free to comment here. |
