How to Create a Pop Star

The way this shit is fed to the masses just disgusts me. Although my own preferences tend to gravitate towards rock, metal, and jazz, I accept most forms of music as forms of artistic expression - classical, electronic, world music, folk, blues, etc. I just can't do that with the vast majority of modern pop.

Pop can be really good when done correctly (after all, The Beatles are one of my favorite bands ), but I feel like it's becoming impossible nowadays.
