Jbird here, I came over last week from the PA site after someone sent me a PM about this site
I'm 48, started listening to metal in the late '70s, stuff like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Riot, Deep Purple just before the NWoBHM scene got big here in the States. I guess I like any metal that is fairly melodic, so stuff like power metal, prog metal, hair metal, NWoBHM, melodic death metal, most thrash, female-fronted metal, etc. are right up my alley. Bands that I can't read what their name says, not so much
