So many great albums to choose from but still one standout for me - Stained Class! Over the last twenty odd years all my American friends have always raved about Painkiller but I like the cover art more than the tunes

Another tough choice for me. I'll go ahead and say Sad Wings but I really like Screaming for Vengeance and Defenders of the Faith a lot too. I like most of Priest's material although I haven't really listened to the Tim Owens records.

Nice to see votes for Stained Class. Not surprised to see Sad Wings and Painkiller out front though. Great (if very different) albums.

I'll go with the flow, Sad Wings and/or Painkiller for me. I'm surprised no one voted Sin after Sin though. |

Ram It Down. I've had it on cassette since I was 14. It is wonderful from start to finish. Nice combination, of glam, power and heavy metal influences.

I have a lot of their later albums and recently got Stained Class but I must say it is better than all of their later ones.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with it, especially after Angel of Retribution which was so good. And of course their best album is Sad Wings of Destiny. Pure brilliance! |

I've only heard Painkiller, so no vote obviously, but that album kicks ass. Looks like Sad Wings is the next step.

Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.
