Tuz noticed the greatest Polish metal band, TURBO, is missing in PA.
For samples, please see this "very popular" thread :

yes, indeed.
But their albums 'ostatni wojownik' and 'tozsamosc' could justify their inclusion in PA for prog metal.

Guys, perhaps it didn't occur to you that the site is short-handed at the moment, and that the suggestion was posted only three days ago. Personally, I'd be grateful if you refrained from insisting. It was something that always irritated me no end on PA.

^ Sorry, Raff. That won't happen again (at least from my end, I can't speak for Lucas). Embarrassed

I knew their Dead End album and that one was definitely thrash metal. Ill add Turbo now but if you are able to help tag all albums in their discography with either thrash metal or traditional heavy metal that would be a great help. If they play progressive thrash or heavy metal on the two albums you mention above but overall those albums still belong in either thrash or traditional heavy metal, lets not tag them progressive metal. I prefer we keep that genre for "real" progressive acts.

OK Ive put them in traditional heavy metal for now: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/turbo.aspx
I will re-tag Dead End with the thrash metal tag though when the musicbrainz update has run. And I will need some help tagging the albums correctly.

Thanks UMUR.

Dorosle dzieci - H M (hard-rock in the vein of Scorpions)
Smak ciszy - H M (hard-rock in the vein of Scorpions)
Kawaleria Szatana - H M (just like Metal Church' The Dark' it's somewhere between H M and T M)
Ostatni Wojownik - T M
Epidemie - T M
Dead End - T M
One Way - T M
Awatar - H M
Tozsamosc - H M
Straznik Swiatla - H M

And their live album Alive! is a collection of songs played on stage in 1986 and 1987, before the release of 'ostatni wojownik' so it must be H M (I didn't listen to it).

They released also english versions of some of their albums (last warrior, epidemic, avatar and identity)..

UMUR, Grzegorz Kupczyk (Turbo's vocalist) participated in many side projects that are missing in MMA :

CETI, Non Iron, panzer X, Dragon, Kruk

Z zespołem CETI [edytuj]

Z zespołem Dragon [edytuj]

Z zespołem Panzer X [edytuj]

Z zespołem Non Iron [edytuj]

Z zespołem Kruk [edytuj]

There is a mention to Dragon here in the entry for another Dragon band (which is tagged "thrash metal" while their albums were released in the seventies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

2) Dragon is one of the oldest Polish metal bands. They played thrash/heavy metal. Nowadays Dragon doesn't exist, but will be remembered by the oldest of Polish maniacs. Songs like "Kaplani Zdrady" ("The Priest of Betrayal") are central to the history of Polish metal.

There Ive added pics and info and added a couple of english versions of some of the albums too: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/turbo.aspx . If your able to find info and pics on the english version of Awatar and identity youre welcome to post it here and Ill add those too.

Regarding CETI, Non Iron, panzer X, Dragon and Kruk. Can you help placing them in subs? I seem to remember Dragon as thrash metal but Ive only heard one song way back in the day, so I might remember wrong.

Ive added Dragon to thrash metal. Waiting for the musicbrainz update to add the albums:http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/dragon.aspx

I will notify the traditional heavy metal team of your other suggestions CETI, Non Iron, Panzer X, Kruk

OK, I'll leave the page open until you complete the updates, then will close it. Please note that I'll be away until next Monday - which means I'll do what I have to do when I come back.

Copy/Paste from my post in the trad. team thread:

CETI and Panzer X would fit fine in traditional heavy metal. Dragon and Kruk are more thrash metal in my opinion. I'll have to do some more research into Non Iron. Smile
