Does anybody know if and where one can get copies of seriously old kerrang issues (from the 80's preferably) So I can see how they presented rock mags back in the day.

MMmmhh!!! I bought a few of them in the late 70's, early 80's.... (can't really remeber when these guys started).... but I didn't keep them....

I've got a few stashed away - think I've got #2, and some in the 'teens/20s. I think I've got some Metal Hammers and Metal Forces too.
