Hey, guys! I'm Sisslith, nice to meet you all.
I'm from Spain and I've loved metal music since I was very young. Honestly, I don't have a favourite music genre, but several of my most precious CDs are neoclassical metal or instrumental ones (Jason Becker, Marty Friedman, Vinnie Moore, Tony MacAlpine...). Apart from metal, I also enjoy listening to classical music, rock music (post-rock, hard rock, rock & roll...), some pop bands from my country, blues, jazz, electronic and OST music. I hope we get along! See you on the site ;) |

 I'm familiar with some neo-classical metal, such as Malmsteen and MacAlpine, but never really explored the genre that well. I probably should check out more of it sometime. Have you heard Chastain? They're a favorite of mine, and have quite a neoclassical approach to US power metal. http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/artist/chastain

Nope, I haven't heard of them. I'll check them out this week, Unitron.
I don't know if you have listened to these albums, but they are really good and classics, IMO: - Vinnie Moore: Mind's Eye - Jason Becker: Perpetual Burn (also listen to Perspective) - Marty Friedman: Dragon's Kiss (practically his whole discography is really good) Other great artists from Japan: - Norifumi Shima: From the Womb to the Tomb - Kelly Simonz's Blind Faith: Sign of the Times - Katsu Ohta : Micronist (check his other solo albums and his work in Ark Storm) x) |
