I vote for Power Metal.

In those days my favourite bands are all in Power Metal territory.

But you... For you... Which is your favourire Metal sub-genre?

I like a variety, but looking at some of my favorite metal bands, death metal is really jumping out.

I voted for Traditional metal with NWOBHM included.  It is probably a toss up between that and glam metal for me.

I guess it's between alt and traditional, with thrash perhaps having the third place. I'll go with traditional as it's been the thing to listen to lately.

Had to go with death. Simply heavy, brutal, and heavy music. Another close contender was Prog metal. And when they combine they make a hell of a combo.
Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

progressive metal is my favourite these days; traditional metal and proto and some thrash come next.

Prog metal (no surprise there), but I also love traditional HM, thrash metal, death metal, and power metal (not the cheesy kind). Of course, I have eclectic tastes, so I like a handful of albums from every genre.

Progressive Metal of course. Without wishing to underestimate the other bands and sub-genres i think that the progressive metal bands show the way straight forward to the future.
And by the way yesterday i was listening after a long time Queensryche's "Rage For Order". What an album!WinkWinkWinkWinkWink

I never can choose at these kind of polls. My favorite bands are divided over several subgenres, so I really can't pick jut one.
It would either be avant-garde, progressive or sludge/post-metal.

I suppose if you'd place a gun against my head it would be avant-metal. But as long as there's no gun I won't vote. Tongue

Progressive Metal for me too, though occasionally I find myself really liking Death metal and NWoBHM just as much.

Thrash for me. It was hard as hell to decide though 'cause I love Glam and N.W.O.B.H.M. too. But my beloved Megadeth and Anthrax belong to the Thrash corner and so do all of thier delightful little friends, Death Angel, Annihilator, Suicidal Tendancies etc. etc. How could I say no to that?
