Anyone looking forward to the Grammy's this year?? I just saw the commercials for it today on T.V. and it looks like the show will be good...I think Adele will be getting several Grammy's myself...Please discuss everything related to the upcoming show here...Thanks...8-]]

Still haven't forgiven them for 1989, and have been getting it wrong ever since, so I generally avoid the Grammys.

I've never really paid any attention, it's usually just a popularity contest. (Although Jethro Tull beating Metallica for best hard rock/heavy metal performance still doesn't really make sense in that case. Unless Crest of a Knave was a lot more popular than I thought it was. I honestly don't get as upset about that as some people do though, at least Jethro Tull is hard rock.)
Out of curiosity I did look at the contenders, and saw that Metallica's Hardwired (The song) was nominated for best rock song. Why not nominated for best metal song?

They'll never live that down. I love Tull and they can certainly rock, but Knave wasn't a particularly brilliant album anyway in my opinion.

And then it still got stuffed up! There was an awkward moment when, as Megadeth approached the stage to accept their long-awaited Grammy Award, the house band played Metallica's Master of Puppets, reported Loudwire. Ah, the Grammys... As clueless ever! A much better choice than Ghost from last year. Megadeth deserved to finally win a Grammy, but to play a Metallica song? Fuck. Off. |

^Yeah, I read the Loudwire article, it just feels insulting to the fans and I'd be surprised if the the band didn't feel insulted either.
There was a funny comment saying "To be fair, Megadeth songs are probably too hard for the house band to play."

^Ha ha that´s hilarious. Especially considering how butthurt Mustaine still sounds when he is talking about Metallica. Playing Metallica instead of Megadeth must indeed have felt like a huge insult .
....but who really cares about the Grammys anyways. It´s just another popularity contest where the voters are clueless to the music they are voting on.
