Just put some ratings on Down's page. They are tagged here as Sludge Metal / Doom Metal. While I do not think Sludge wrong I think their genre overall would be more accurately reflected as Stoner Metal. Especially the two Down IV EP's and associated compilation. Discuss.

I've taken this on as my first project.

The following release appears to be a bootleg: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/down/demo-collection-1992-1993(demo)

At least Discogs says it is. RYM says it's legitimate. RYM's only source for the release though is a dead EM link.

Does someone want to check before I delete this release?

I'd trust Discogs more for this, especially if EM once had it then removed it as well.

That's what appears to have happened. I'll remove it. Profile is done I think otherwise.

Google, Metal Kingdom and Metal Storm all have it, but of course they may not realise it’s a bootleg (if that’s what it is). They’ve probably all copied it from each other. Can’t find anything else on it except a bootleg download site does seem to have it. Not sure aside from writing to the band how we’ll find out for definite. Might be worthwhile trying to contact them? Just say you’re from MMA. Works sometimes 😉

Metal Kingdom usually copies the info from EM and RYM. They have very practical tools, pretty similar to our MMA Collaborator Helper.
