In case you haven't heard, legendary producer and engineer Martin Birch (Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, Rainbow, BOC, Wishbone Ash and others) has died aged 71.

Produced many of my favourite albums growing up. Rest in peace.

What a legacy he left behind though. I remember seeing and reading his name a lot in the eighties. He's part of metal music history! Thanks for all the great productions, sir. Play it loud and heavy in the next world!
A story told that can't be real somehow must reflect the truth we feel.

Damn, these classic rock / metal guys all die in their 70s these days :(

RIP, man. You're a legend. Some of my fave albums too.
