Ex-UFO bassist Pete Way has sadly died from injuries sustained in a car crash 2 months ago. He's the second former member of UFO to die in the last 2 months, Paul Chapman being the other.

So few of my early music heroes still around. Time for some UFO and Waysted On the player I think.

I still haven´t managed to listen to a single note of UFO yet...

...but on topic it´s of course a sad passing, and from the many comments from musicians who knew him he seemed to be both an immensely talented and influential performer, but also a very kind person.

Never was a huge UFO fan but i did pick up their entire 70s run a few years ago. They had a few good albums but nothing that absolutely blows me away. Still, great band. RIP, dude

Don't know the band that well, but this is a classic.

Haven't gotten around to exploring UFO's discog much, but Flying and Phenomenon are great albums.

Can’t believe no-one has a full UFO back catalogue on their shelf. What’s wrong with folk? 😉😂

I've got most their 70's and 80's stuff but I've been selective since then.

I wouldn’t be so presumptuous Khaliq, you may hate it, but tracks like We Beling To The Night and Let It Rain are cracking hard rock / melodic metal tracks

Could be great as I've never heard it, but it's what I always see at the store. Should I start with that or is there a better album to start with post-Phenomenon?

Accessible and consistent and in the budget range, I’d start with Lights Out. All between Phenomenon and Making Contact are decent and all have highlights along with the occasional filler.

The live album Strangers In The Night is brilliant with most of the classics on it from the 70's and better versions too IMO.
