Finally! Marrow of the Spirit by Agalloch. A combo of work/my store not having it took me until now to finally buy it.

Also Mouth of the Architect's 2010 EP "The Violence Beneath"
Pretty decent post metal

Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer and Testament. The real Big Four of thrash metal!

That it is.
You really think their best album though? More than the Mantle??
Hell, Marrow may be my least favorite of their studio albums. That being said, it is still four stars. LOL

Agalloch is just so fucking brilliant!
Edit: I forgot about the lack of editing Headbanger

I do think it is their best.  Ashes is my least favourite studio of theirs.  The Mantle is pretty damn near as good as Marrow of the Spirit, and was my favourite before I got Marrow

Not purchases, but the 4 albums I received as Christmas gifts are all hard rock/metal.

OSI - Office Of Strategic Influence

Peach (gb) - Giving Birth To A Stone (should they be added to MMA?)

Rosetta - A Determinism Of Morality

Morbid Angel - Domination

My parents couldn't track down another album I asked for, so I got another $25 to spend on music.  I'll head to one of my favorite CD stores tomorrow (most likely) to get some 25% off savings!! Smile

That is one great album Jeff. Im sure youll enjoy this one. Just check out all that harmony vocal work. Shadows is such a skilled singer IMO. Note how the album turns almost progressive after track 6 too. Pretty interesting development.

Lost respect for these archives when I saw Creed added, among other bands. Not going to be foruming here anymore. You can keep my reviews if you want.

I just bought these metal albums at dirt cheap prices:

(I got this Metallica CD to replace some old MP3's... I think I'll try giving this album another shot)

And I received this in the mail as a promo (and it's a retail copy!):

I like Load era Metallica Embarrassed.  It probably helps that Metallica were in the midst of that style when I was introduced to them, but I still prefer those albums over The Black Album, Death Magnetic, and St. Anger.
