As bad as St. Anger is, I think the Load and ReLoad albums are equally poor. It has some good characteristics, but a decent chunk of the album is difficult for me to sit through. However, I think The Black Album is okay, and I actually like Death Magnetic quite a bit. |

I like St. Anger much better than Load and ReLoad. To me it was a return of sorts to fast and aggressive music, and it had a certain rawness and energy that the previous two albums lacked (which is ironic since St. Anger was extensively pro-tooled).
I like that black album a lot - nowadays more reasons having to do with nostalgia. I liked it when it came out, but I also distinctly remember a sense of disappointment with the album because it wasn't thrashy like Master of Puppets or ...And Justice For All. Not surprisingly, I really like Death Magnetic.

Diocletian's newest went from an ear to another, as easily happens with albums liike that. Should listen to it again soon.
Jackman is pretty good albeit excessively hyped. |

Finally bought "The Fragile Art of Existence" by Control Denied.
Never listened to it before and my record store has recently had copies of it (for the recent remaster). It is great. Continuation of later Death, but with clean...almost power metal vocals. It's pretty awesome! Also bought Act III by Death Angel (superb album I never had in CD form) and an album by Callisto. Seems decent, good ol post metal. |

My local library sold these babies at 10 kr. a piece ( thats approx. $1.4), so even though I own a couple of them already I couldnt let them sit there. I guess I can use those I already own for presents.
