Will check it out. Thanks Paul.

This is one I enjoyed earlier in the year and forgot about. Gorguts inspired but with the occasional symphonic prog passage. Great stuff

^ I did have a listen to that at the time it came out I seem to remember and added it to my possible buy list but wanted to check it out again first as I was on the fence about it. Thanks for the reminder and I will certainly give it another go.

About time we had something new from Sulphur Aeon. All 3 of their albums so far have been awesome. Doesn't seem to be anything in the pipeline unfortunately but it's been 4 year's now since The Scythe of Cosmic Chaos.

I heard the new Obituary single, and it sounded pretty great to my ears.

^ Mine too. If the rest of the albums as good as that I'll be very happy.

Enjoying this one a lot this week. Crushing old school DM that is very likely going to kick something out of my top 30 best of year list.

Oh yeah, I saw that was coming!

New Frozen Soul dropped today. Haven't had a chance to listen to it right through yet.

I´ve only listened to the early releases, which I like, but I´m slowly catching up.

I´ve listened to this one a lot lately, and I´m really liking it. Obituary never release made a bad release. Only a few which are sub par to their best, and I´d put this one in the better half of their output. I like the thrash influences which has crept into the music.

I´m probably going to to check this one out, but I can´t say I´m a big fan of their sound. I´m not huge on the whole chaotic tech sound. I usually like my death metal a little more catchy and immediately punchy.

I'll definitely be checking that one out. Impressed with the couple of tracks I've heard already. Thumbs Up

The new Vomitory I posted above will probably be more to your liking then Jonas. I know what you mean though, not everyone loves this sort of death metal. Personally I love it!

I've been in quite the death metal mood lately. It's really hitting the spot right now even while I'm being floored by new prog and power metal albums. LOL

Mostly been listening to tech death but I've also checked out a couple of older releases:

You might say I'm drawn to albums with Dan Seagrave art. Tongue

Then you´ll have plenty to pick from. Seagrave has created many, many, covers for death metal artists.
