Gentle-ish but dated spy comedy. This was the inspiration for the le Carre novel The Tailor of Panama.

Too much nudity for it's own good, and the atmosphere isn't quite there, but not far off being a great movie. However, it flopped. Less reliance on special effects than contemporaries like An American Werewolf in London.

So I thought I'd check out the original. This one DOES get the atmosphere right. Short, and the horror is mostly suggested, which makes a pretty good movie.

In the style of Bonnie and Clyde, a good old gangster shoot 'em up. Harry Dean Stanton's Homer van Meter is an unfortunate comedy fall guy, while Richard Dreyfuss is a cold blooded killer as Baby Face Nelson. Dillinger vs Purvis is a great cat and mouse rivalry too.

I recently watched "Dune" and it was an epic cinematic experience. I streamed it on my Firestick https://www.firestickhow.com/how-to-set-up-firestick.html, which has become my go-to for accessing a diverse range of films. The convenience and ease of use make it a fantastic tool for movie enthusiasts. If you haven't seen Dune yet, I highly recommend it.

You know how sometimes low budget sci-fi movies are a bit of fun? Yeah, this isn't one of them. Does star Robert Englund pre-Freddy Krueger and Erin Moran (Happy Days) though.

Never seen this before. Why does a shit movie like Neverending Story get remembered so fondly when this gets forgotten?

I haven't seen this for years! I think I may even still have it somewhere. I watched Willow so many times as a kid (and never saw Neverending Story even once ) It wasn't so forgotten that they didn't make a recent legacy sequel series to it, but I don't know what the heck's going on there since it was pulled from streaming so damn fast...I never got around to checking it out.

A great sequel to East is East. Love Om Puri and the rest of the supporting cast.

Not seen this in over 40 years. We went to see it as a school trip. It might seem a bit brutal now, but I wasn't particularly bothered by it as a kid, because rabbits were pests and you were meant to shoot the buggers anyway (I suppose things were a bit different for country kids). I do remember one of my classmates being really disappointed by it because he thought it was going to be a war movie about a battleship.

How the fuck had I never seen that before? A great reminder of why Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise are rated as highly as they are.

A nearly three four long action fest. Impressive, but after a point it does feel they could have accomplished the same film with a runtime similar to the first three movies. This one feels like it's going all out and big because it's the end of the series and yet, John Wick 5 is already confirmed.

Not seen this in years. Not the first, but the most famous teen slasher movie. This is a lot smarter than the sequels.

Solid with some real gruesome bits in the opening sequence, although it's a bit more slow burning after that. The ending is all kinds of sad and ironic.

Seen this before. Amazing cinematography, a simple but compelling story, and a real sense of menace on a tight budget.
