I gave this one a listen yesterday and really dug it. I liked their last one a lot too.

Have any of you heard about this band from India? https://moralcollapse.bandcamp.com/album/divine-prosthetics I have only listened to the first album, but I´m completely blown away. Wow... |

I just found this one (it´s the last show Patterson ever played, as he died only a few days after this was recorded): My jaw has dropped to the floor and I´m just enjoying this tremendously. Wow they were so tight and inventive. And what an energy level...

^ Look forward to checking that out later.
Autopsy always deliver solid albums or better and this new one I was enjoying from first listen. Nothing new but plenty of strong and memorable riffs. |

my Cd copy just arrived yesterday. Had already listened online but not seriously. Haven't made my mind up yet. No one can accuse them of stagnating and they seem to get more complex with each release. Planetary Clairvoyance was one of my top albums of 2019. This ones not hitting me the way that one did yet but early days.

I´ve never been impressed by Morta Skuld, but since I´ve listened to and have reviewed all previous releases, I´m probbaly gone listen to a review this one to. I´m listening to the two tracks released from the new Aborted and I find it refreshing that they have chosen to have guest vocalists on each track of the new album. It´s sort of like extreme metal duets: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/aborted/vault-of-horrors

I've been mainly in an extreme metal mood of late and have been checking out several death metal acts I've never paid much (if any) attention to before. Mainly tech death but also some melodic death acts:
I'm also looking at Omnium Gatherum to check out next. |

I know some of the bands you mention on a superficial level, but none of those I know of them are really my poison. I´ve been reading "Rotting Ways to Misery: The History of Finnish death metal" again these last few months, and I´ve learned of some many old school Finnish death metal artists in the process which I didn´t know about back then. So that´s mainly what I listen to these days. I´m simply catching up and reviewing a lot of releases in the process.

I really like Insomnium. You already have their best album IMO but the follow up Heart Like A Grave was almost as good. Of the earlier albums I'd recommend Above The Weeping World but there's no shortage of other good ones. Been listening to the new Exocrine myself and quite impressed.

Yeah, I need to check this out. I listened to a podcast interview with David Gregor, and this sounds like it should be a album. Also a great interview. |

I´m not usually much of a fan of Brutal death metal, but there are exceptions and Gorgasm is one of them...and now it seems they´ve returned after a 10 years hiatus. http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/gorgasm/sadichist(ep)

I listened to this one yesterday, and found it pretty good. Sort of an Incantation meets very early Suffocation. It´s mostly the former who are an influence though: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/album/infester/to-the-depths-in-degradation
