Christ, I feel like a reading noob compared to the rest of you...I'm
still reading the Wheel of Time series and it's basically the first
series I'll have read anything of and completed. That being said I AM
becoming more and more of a bookworm, so I'll catch up to you's all...in
time!

Wheel of Time looks really daunting to start. I've never read it except New Spring which I read out of sequence and was probably too young for as well. I actually have the entire set, one of a few longer series I need to properly start. I don't think I could read the whole lot of those one after the other. Probably one, maybe two every so often once I dig into them.

I just finished reading Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, which is a great starting point if you want to learn more about finance. It gives a fresh perspective on assets, liabilities, and how to build wealth over time. I’m also using rocketmoney to help manage my finances better, track subscriptions, and save more efficiently. It’s been a helpful tool alongside reading books like this to get a clearer picture of my financial goals.

Just reached my Goodreads challenge for the year which was 60 books. My total last year was 92 but I had a lot of shorter ones last year.
So this is what I read since my last post here: |

I left it far, far too long since I read one of these which is too my detriment as there's so much I don't remember and have been having to rely on Malazan Wiki to fill gaps. While I won't be reading the remaining books one after the other, I will have to make sure that I don't leave it too long between them again.

Haven't read any Gemmell for years either. First one of these was excellent but the 'sequel' while a solid enough book in its own right was something of a letdown - the Hawk Queen barely features in it and it doesn't tell the story that one presumes is to come after the end of the first book, instead suddenly turns into a multiverse and time travel story (years before it was 'the thing') where not enough is really revealed to the reader about the bigger picture to be satisfying. There's a review on Goodreads which says something like it feels like there's two missing books between them: my thoughts exactly!

Next in my line of authors to pick up again having not read them for years. First of a trilogy (which also has a sequel trilogy) and I'll be reading the next two books straight away although will probably read a few thrillers after that as that will then make six fantasy books read on the trot. I really enjoyed this one, rather humorous dialogue! Can't actually believe its taken me this long to pick this one up. They've been on my reading pile (I say pile, it's actually more like ten shelves and a wardrobe full of books) for a long time.

Finished reading A Memory of Light, final book in the Wheel of Time series. Save for New Spring I'm basically done w/ it. Hell of a journey!
