Not such a fan of metalcore.
I have heard some Unearth and again, not my cup o tea. Only metalcore band I can say I really like is Shadows Fall, and I object to that classification personally. |

Agreed. The only metalcore band I'm a fan of really is Between the Buried and Me, and they quite obviously don't follow the conventions of metalcore.
I guess Protest the Hero is great too, but I felt they defy both metal and core a lot and implement mostly post-hardcore in with their tech sound. |

Why everyone be hatin' on the metalcore?
 There is some very good stuff in Metalcore, if you look in the right place. But conversely, there is some VERRRRRRY bad metalcore, too.

But Unearth is a good Metalcore act, yes. They're not the most original, but still very good stuff going on there.

Shadows Fall and Trivium are the only bands I've enjoyed so far

I agree. There is a lot of good metalcore out there... and also some really shitty stuff. But hating metalcore just because it's metalcore is just plain stupid! |
